Can I get a color, stain, or pattern in the concrete?
Yes — flat or textured finishes, stamped patterns, and custom color or stain options are all available. Ask about your own vision for the space.
How can I prevent cracking?
Concrete does crack, but cracking is controlled with a solid compacted subbase, wire mesh or rebar, a minimum amount of water in the mix, and properly spaced control joints — typically 1/3 the depth of the pour, spaced at roughly three times the concrete's thickness. These joints let the material shrink and flex where intended instead of cracking randomly.
Can you strengthen the concrete so it lasts?
Yes — using a minimum amount of water, adding wire mesh or steel rebar grids, and mixing in fiberglass for extra strength all help. Proper subgrade preparation is just as important, and concrete should never be poured on frozen ground or allowed to freeze within 3 days of the pour.
How do you care for concrete?
Concrete is durable and low-maintenance, but acids and salts can deteriorate it over time. Sealing protects against water, dust, UV and abrasion, and normal dirt, rust or stains can be cleaned off.
Will the concrete be smooth and perfect when installed?
Concrete is not a manufactured product, so minor imperfections are normal — many clients are actually drawn to decorative concrete for that character.
